2015 UDMA Dance Resource/Costume Shows

Calling all studio owners and teachers! It’s almost October and you know what that means – it’s time for the United Dance Merchants of America (UDMA) Dance Resource and Costume Show! This fall, the show will return to Georgia, New Jersey and Illinois featuring more than 10,000 costumes and hundreds of products and services.

The UDMA Dance Resource and Costume Show brings master teachers, leading costume designers and innovative dance professionals together under one roof, giving dance teachers and studio owners a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with the industry’s most-trusted experts.

More than just a trade show, the UDMA Dance Resource and Show has become a celebrated tradition for teachers and studio owners who look forward to the weekend as an opportunity to breathe new life into their businesses and season planning.

Like a catalogue come-to-life, guests will have the rare opportunity to see the season’s most-inspired costumes modeled by dancers, experience how the fabrics move and the sequins shimmer. Attendees will have a chance to talk with vendors about the newest products and services.

Dance teachers can also take part in a one-of-a-kind workshop focused on the art of teaching technique. Former professional ballerina and longtime teacher Roni Mahler will teach on Saturday, October 3 at the Atlanta event and Saturday, October 10 at the Secaucus event. Chicago will welcome speaker Patricia Dickinson Wells on October 17. Wells is a former ballerina and since 1995, the director/owner of Dance Theatre Southwest.

Like every year, show attendees will have the opportunity to take part in UDMA’s most popular contest: a sweepstakes to win $4,000 in UDMA Gift Bucks, the ultimate dance shopping spree. There will also be drawings to win prizes like an Apple iPad.
