2017 Tony Award Winners

2017 Best Choreography Tony AwardBroadway’s biggest awards night returned to Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 11 to reveal the 2017 Tony Award Winners. Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey hosted the 71st annual event organized by The American Theatre Wing, with musical theatre fans from across the country tuning in to watch on the CBS Television Network.

 

The 2017 Best Musical Award went to Dear Evan Hansen, with the production winning a total of six Tony Awards.

 

Meanwhile, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler won the 2017 Best Choreography Award for his Bandstand, which Dance Informa recently featured in our May edition. This was his fifth nomination for the Best Choreography Award and his third time winning it – he previously won it for Hamilton and In the Heights.
