9/11 remembrance project calls for dancers

9/11 dance performance at Lincoln CenterArtistic Director and Choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi of Buglisi Dance Theatre partners with the iconic Steps on Broadway and the impactful Dance/NYC to invite all dance companies and dancers with professional experience to join her for this year’s 9/11 Table of Silence Project. This transcendent message of compassion and peace will touch the hearts of many from the cultural capital of America on Tuesday, September 11.

 

Those professional and advanced dancers interested in participating should email buglisi@buglisidance.orgtheir full name, resumé with dance experience, dance photo and phone number by August 15. They should write “Table of Silence – Steps” in the subject line. 

 

Dancers must receive an email confirmation from Buglisi Dance Theatre to attend the Open Call at Steps on Broadway on Thursday, August 16 from 7:30 – 10 p.m. Rehearsals begin August 21.

 

Taking place at the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center, the free performance will begin at 8:20 a.m. on September 11. It will be simulcast via live stream throughout the world.

 

Past performers of the Table of Silence Project need not attend the Open Call, but must confirm their participation at buglisi@buglisidance.org.
