92Y announces Harkness Dance Center’s Artists in Residence

92Y announces Ivy Baldwin, Kimberly Bartosik, Kazunori Kumagai and Kyle Marshall as Harkness Dance Center Artists in Residence for the 2019-20 season in New York City. The 92Y Artists in Residence program provides rehearsal space, a stipend and educational resources to support the creation and performance of new works, giving these artists a place to create, explore and share their vision with the Harkness audience.

Dance students and fans also have the rare opportunity to participate in the creative process with the artists – observing open rehearsals, engaging in discussion about works-in-progress and seeing performances throughout the year.

For more than 80 years, the Harkness Dance Center has supported dance innovators like José Limón, Pearl Lang, Eleo Pomare and Doug Varone; with residencies and space grants, and as a performance venue. The 92Y Artists in Residence program provides rehearsal space, a stipend and educational resources to support the creation and performance of new works, giving these artists a place to create, explore and share their vision with the Harkness audience.

92nd Street Y is a world-class, nonprofit cultural and community center that fosters the mental, physical and spiritual health of people throughout their lives.
