Applications For Music Center Spotlight Awards Open

LA’s Music Center’s Spotlight Program is a wonderful learning opportunity for high school students in the visual and performing arts.

Much more than a competition, Spotlight is an educational program for high school students of all talent levels in Southern California. Spotlight is one of the nation’s premier arts education and scholarship programs for teens, awarding over $100,000 in scholarships.

The Spotlight performance categories are ballet, non-classical dance, classical voice, non-classical voice, classical instrumental music and jazz instrumental music. The visual arts are included with the two-dimensional art and photography categories.

Applications are now open until October 17, 2012.

This year’s Grand Prize Finalists will be showcased at a gala performance at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
