Australian modern dance company residing in New York City

CoreDance Contemporary presents “VERTERE”, an evening length program of modern dance May 17 & 18 at The Mark O’Donnell Theatre at The Actors Fund Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY. CoreDance Contemporary is an Australian modern dance company residing in New York City.

On the bill for the night is Artistic Director McCormac’s new evening length work; “Unnerving Disequilibrium at Altitude”, a film and movement collaboration in the Film Noir style exploring an urban landscape at dizzying height.

The creation is inspired by the cinematic works of Alfred Hitchcock, the urban landscape of the gentrified New York City Parks High Line and the musical stylings of Miles Davis. This initial stimulus. helped generate photography by Scott Allen and further led to a coproduction between Producer/Editor of Iris Media Works; Conner Thompson.
