Ballet Collective calls for choreographers

New York's Ballet Collective seeks Choreographers for 2017Ballet Collective, founded by New York City Ballet dancer Troy Schumacher in 2010, has thus far produced the work of over 30 artists. Now it’s calling for choreographers with a drive to collaborate to apply for its 2017 Choreographic Residency.

 

Choreographers that are chosen will collaborate with Ballet Collective, working inside its unique creative process to create a work for its fall 2017 season. Ballet Collective will provide commissioning fees and support for all artists, studio space and residencies, an ensemble of dancers from New York City Ballet and live music.

 

To be considered, interested choreographers should send an email with the subject line “2017 Submission” to BalletCollective@gmail.com with their resume/CV/bio and links to work samples. Prior professional experience is required. A knowledge of music or musical training is encouraged.
