Batsheva bound for SoCal in February

Decadance 2017 coming to Costa MesaSegerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA will present Israel’s acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company for the first time on February 8, 2017. In a special one-night-only engagement, the company will perform the program Decadance 2017, created by the company’s artistic director, Ohad Naharin.

The Guardian called Batsheva “beautiful and affecting,” and Allan Ulrich in SF Gate wrote of Naharin, “He is clearly a spellbinder, a choreographer who pushes his dancers to the point of exhaustion and into the neighborhood of sublimity.”

Decadance 2017 is a repertory program of many of Naharin’s most honored works: Mabul (1992), Anaphase (1993), Z/na (1995), Zachacha (1998) Naharin’s Virus (2001), Three (2005), Telophaza (2006), Max (2007) and Sadeh 21 (2011).

Tickets to Batsheva Dance Company start at $29 and are available online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office (located at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa) or by calling 714-556-2787.
