We may all be stuck at home right now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dance up a storm or enjoy a performance from the comfort of our lounge rooms. Check out these amazing upcoming online dance classes and streamed dance performances.

 

Broadway Dance Centre

Why not try a Theatre Dance class at Broadway Dance Center this week with Chaz Wolcott by visiting http://www.broadwaydancecenter.com/faculty/chaz-wolcottis. All class times are in Eastern Time (New York). Livestream classes are $12 each.

 

Heidi Duckler Dance 

Los Angeles-based dance company, Heidi Duckler Dance presents Illuminating the Chandelier through Zoom video streaming on April 30th at 5PM PST.

Battery Dance 

Battery Dance TV recently launched on March 27, 2020 at https://batterydance.org/dancetv/ to provide free live dance classes and programming for the general public by Battery Dance and affiliated artists through a regularly scheduled program. Make sure to join in!

Battery Dance TV’s regularly scheduled offerings include:

  • morning warmup/stretching/conditioning exercises to start your day off right
  • mid-day classes in contemporary dance with afro, ballet and jazz fusion elements
  • evening classes in varied ballroom styles
  • a daily 4pm short video by dancers performing in their living rooms

 

Works & Process

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, presents a Virtual Works & Process: In Process with Ephrat Asherie Dance on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 7:30pm. The event is free, but space is limited and RSVP is required; a Zoom link and password will be emailed the day of the performance. visit worksandprocess.org

 

Regular Tap Classes with Star Dixon

Ballet Hispánico 

Ballet Hispánico has an exciting a new Instagram video series entitled B Unidos! The series feature’s a series of videos posted each weekday, created by the three arms of the Ballet Hispánico: the professional company, the School of Dance, and Community Arts Partnership (CAP) and featuring the hashtag #BUnidos.at www.instagram.com/ballethispanico/.

 

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company invites dancers from around the world to join the Company at noon for a free one-hour Company Class every weekday.  Interested dancers can join the class by registering on Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company’s website:  http://nainichen.org/company-class

Sadler’s Wells London

Sadler’s Wells presents a programme of full-length dance performances and workshops online to keep you entertained wherever you are in the world. Performances will be screened live on Fridays at 7.30pm BST on Sadler’s Wells’ Facebook page, and are then available to watch on demand for seven days. Dance Gap Year’s Certificate Program is a holistic, student-centered and diversified virtual dance program.
