Colorado Dance Conference coming up

Colorado Dance Education OrganizationThe Colorado Dance Education Organization (CoDEO) will soon host its third student and teacher conference at Denver School of the Arts on October 22 and 23. The weekend of dance will include classes in jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, ballet and choreography. There will be separate teacher workshops for continuing education as well.

CoDEO, a state affiliate of the National Dance Education Organization, promotes dance across the state year-round. Its conference is an opportunity for dancers and teachers to learn, celebrate and network with specialists and other professionals.

Events will include student and professional company showcases, engaging panel discussions, a wide selection of workshops (both inside and outside of the studio), group movement sessions, and performance opportunities.

For students, additional events will include college entrance and scholarship audition classes in ballet and jazz, plus the opportunity to have work choreographed on them by renowned choreographers.
