Core Dance’s Spring Fieldwork begins

Spring 2018 Fieldwork Atlanta Core Dance, a contemporary dance organization that creates, performs and presents original dance in Atlanta and Houston, will soon be launching its Atlanta Spring Fieldwork Bi-Weekly and Weekly Sessions.

In its communities, Core Dance supports innovation, collaboration, artistic risk-taking and sustainable art-making dance. As part of this, it presents Fieldwork, an opportunity for creators to meet and share developing works and exchange feedback, peer to peer.

All creators are welcome to participate, from choreographers and solo performing artists to writers, composers, playwrights, poets, vocalists, multidisciplinary artists and more.

This unique forum for artists will begin its Spring 2018 Bi-Weekly Workshops on Monday evenings from January 29. Running 7-9:30 p.m., the workshops will go till March 26. Exact dates for the five sessions are: 1/29, 2/12, 2/26, 3/12 and 3/26.

Also, creators are welcome to participate in more regular Weekly Workshops on Wednesdays, beginning January 31 and going through March 28. These will be at the same time, from 7-9:30 p.m. This 10-week session will conclude with a cumulative showcase during Field Day at Core Studios on Sunday, May 6.

Space is limited to 10 artists per session. Register online at www.coredance.org. The Core Studios are located at 139 Sycamore Street in Decatur, GA. Call 404-373-4154 or email info@coredance.org for more information.
