Dances Made to Order Dance Film Initiative

Dances Made to Order, a curated, monthly, film series available exclusively online at DancesMadeToOrder.com, has partnered with local artists and arts organizations in 11 different US cities to highlight each city’s unique dance culture. Every month, three talented artists rise to the challenge to create a five-minute film in two weeks inspired by ideas chosen by the audience.

Malina Rodriguez, co-founder of Dance Truck and the Lucky Penny has curated the Atlanta edition. At DancesMadeToOrder.com people can vote on the ideas that will inspire the artists’ work from April 4 through April 12. The Atlanta series will then premiere on the site on May 7. The Atlanta artists include Corian Ellisor , Lillian Ransijn  and Onur Topal Sümer.

Dances Made to Order will then feature artists from Chicago, Boston, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Francisco, New Orleans and Austin in the coming months.
