Excel In Motion begins 2016-17 Tour

Alex Wong teaches at dance conventionExcel In Motion Dance Convention has officially begun its 2016-17 Tour. It launched its new season in mid-November in Stamford, CT. The tour will visit six more cities in the New Year.

Co-Director Tony Fortunato told Dance Informa, “Excel in Motion is a fun and exciting dance convention that inspires students to ‘excel’ in dance. Our classes are taught by sought-after working professional dancers and choreographers from both the stage and screen!”

Excel’s faculty can be seen anywhere from dancing on the Oscars, backing up the world’s biggest pop stars, choreographing for TV, film or Broadway, to winning the hearts of America on So You Think You Can Dance. They include Alex Wong, Aaron Turner, Ade Chike Torbert, Lauren Froderman, Cyrus Spencer, Ellenore Scott, Laura Edwards, Casie Goshow, Amelia Lowe and Brandon Bryant.

In addition to the faculty, the convention offers a whole list of other perks for participants. Fortunato said, “Excel recognizes not only the dancers but the studios as well with awards, scholarships, and invitations to dance with the master teachers at our Exhibition Shows.”

For Excel In Motion, early bird registration is 30 days prior to each event. The 2017 events will visit Lancaster, PA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Falls Church, VA; Nashville, TN; and Huron, OH.

Fortunato added, “We also offer great hotel discounts, so make sure to check our website for more details!”
