Fela! in LA

Dance enthusiasts!  Fela! has come to the Ahmanson Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles! Don’t miss your chance to see this 2010 Tony Award winner for Best Choreography.  Performances are running now through January 22.

This musical smash hit has been delighting audiences around the country since its Broadway run.  Produced by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Will and Jada Pinkett Smtih, this theatrical wonder tells the story of legendary Nigerian Fela Kuti,  a musical dynamo and a political powder keg who used his supercharged and sexy Afrobeat sound and charismatic spirit to ignite and inspire a generation to dare challenge a government of oppression.
