Keigwin + Company gets playful at Joe’s Pub

Larry Keigwin and Nicole Wolcott of Keigwin + CompanyDance Now—an organization that presents bustling dance shows by New York City artists at traditional and nontraditional venues—will soon continue its “Dance-mopolitan Series” at Joe’s Pub, which originally launched in 2003. The series will present the premiere of Places Please!, an evening-length duet created and performed by longtime collaborators Larry Keigwin and Nicole Wolcott of Keigwin + Company.

Set for Thursday-Saturday, May 4–6 at 7 p.m., Places Please! is described as a “zany trip with Keigwin and Wolcott through the final moments before the curtain goes up.” Viewers will watch the anxiety and playfulness of life behind the scenes as if observing from backstage.

The program will celebrate and extend the creative relationship that served as Keigwin + Company’s foundation during its burgeoning years. Presented as a dreamscape and sonic collage, the evening explores the parallel and intersecting paths of a dynamic creative process and relationship.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Call 212-967-7555 or visit www.joespub.com to book tickets. For more information on Keigwin + Company, visit www.keigwinandcompany.com.
