New York City Ballet will launch City Ballet The Podcast

New York City Ballet will launch “City Ballet The Podcast,” a new series of conversations with NYCB insiders that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Company’s extraordinary dancers, musicians, and repertory of ballets. Season One of “City Ballet The Podcast” will begin in conjunction with New York City Ballet’s fall performances.

Season One of “City Ballet The Podcast” will feature three categories of episodes: “New  Combinations,” hosted by NYCB Associate Artistic Director Wendy Whelan, will focus on new works being created for NYCB as part of the Company’s ongoing and unparalleled commitment to new choreography; “See the Music,” hosted by NYCB Music Director Andrew Litton, will provide insight into the scores and composers that inspire the choreography onstage; and “Hear the Dance,” hosted by NYCB dancer Silas Farley, will explore existing works in NYCB’s storied repertory.

Each episode will include interviews with guests from NYCB’s current roster of dancers and musicians, as well as choreographers, ballet masters, and other members of the Company’s artistic staff.
