New York Dance Project Auditions

Choreography by Dwight RhodenAre you an intermediate or professional level dancer between the ages of 10 and 25 that’d like to train with former members of The Joffrey Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and Nederlands Dance Theater? If so, then be sure to check out New York Dance Project, a newly founded dance company in NYC that’ll be offering Ballet and Contemporary Summer Intensives in the Big Apple as well as Florence, Italy.

The New York City Programs, which will include a Ballet and Contemporary track and a Contemporary-only track, will be June 11- July 13, 2018. The Florence, Italy Program, which is Ballet and Contemporary focused, will be July 16-20, 2018.

To apply, dancers must audition in person or online. A live audition will be held on February 18 at 3 p.m. at Ballet Hispanico Studios in NYC. Dancers who cannot attend this may submit a completed audition form and a short video (no longer than five minutes) showing ballet center and pointe work, or a classical variation, or a contemporary solo to newyorkdanceproject@gmail.com.

Regardless of their exact track, all dancers will train in both forms, just without pointe for the contemporary track. Both concentrations will have daily technique classes followed by working with choreographers on repertory and new work.
