School at Peridance holds pre-pro auditions

The School At Peridance - Pre Professional Auditions 2017The School At Peridance in New York City will soon hold auditions for its Pre-Professional Training Program’s 2017-18 Year. They will be held on Sunday, June 4 at the Peridance Capezio Center.

 

The School at Peridance offers a unique Pre-Professional Training Program known for providing students with the necessary tools for a professional career in dance. The program is divided into age appropriate tiers of study, which enables students to progress according to their talent and ability. The aim of these ballet-training programs is to provide these young artists with multiple opportunities to develop their technique and artistry in a nurturing classroom environment.

 

The Core Program and Youth Ensembles offer thorough training as well as multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. Acceptance into these is by audition only.

 

The audition will consist of a placement ballet technique class and may also include contemporary repertoire depending on the Core level. New students are encouraged to enroll in the appropriate age-level class, but may be invited to stay for the following age bracket where appropriate. See specific times below.

 

Ballet Technique Placement Classes on June 4:

9:30-10:15 a.m.: Core I (Ages 8-9 years)

10:15-11 a.m.: Core II (Ages 9-10 years)

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Core IIIA (Ages 11-12 years)

12-1 p.m.: Core IIIB (Ages 12-13 years)

1-2:30 p.m.: Core IV (Ages 13-14 years) *Contemporary Rep Included

2:30-4 p.m.: Ensemble (Ages 14-18 years) *Contemporary Rep Included
