Steps Beyond Foundation hosts Artists Talk on ‘Booking the Job’The Steps Beyond Foundation, Steps on Broadway’s non-profit arm committed to connecting artists and the community through dialogue, performance and artistic collaboration, closes its Artists Talk Series this Saturday, May 21 with “Booking the Job” at 7:30 pm.

 

Geared towards students and aspiring professionals, four industry experts—ranging from casting agents to choreographers to directors—will discuss the tools needed to be a working professional dancer in New York City.

 

In line with the constant mission to engage and educate the dance community, the Foundation will welcome Lucile DiCampli (LDC Artist Representation), Jason Stryes (CSA, Binder Casting), Josh Prince (choreographer) and Larry Keigwin (Artistic Director of Keigwin & Company) to discuss headshots, reels and resumes, as well as audition techniques and tips.

 

The panel discussion, followed by an informal reception, will take place at Steps on Broadway, located at 2121 Broadway at 74th Street in New York City. Steps is accessible by the 1, 2 and 3 trains. The cost for this talk is $12. Book online at stepsnyc.com/steps-beyond/special-events.
