The Arcane Collective returns to Portland

The Arcane Collective, founded by independent dance artists Oguri and Morleigh Steinberg in 2011, returns to Portland with its latest production of ebb in December.

Known for producing contemporary dance works with “mesmerizing concentration and an urgent kinetic dexterity”, The Arcane Collective will continue its exploration into the quagmire of author Samuel Beckett’s trilogy of Molloy, Malone Dies and The Unnamable, and his seminal work, Waiting for Godot.

Fueled by “playful futility”, ebb will weave a tale of feeble persistence that is “nostalgic, melancholic and touchingly humorous.”
