‘The Giving Tree’ raises funds to fight cancer

Shelly Hutchinson's dance benefit concertProduced by Shelly Hutchinson, the dance benefit concert The Giving Tree returns on November 12 and 13 to the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance Capezio Center in New York City.

 

The Giving Tree presents an evening of beautiful movement by a collective group of NYC-based choreographers. Artists unite to raise awareness for a cause – with this year’s being to find cures for Pediatric and Breast Cancers.

 

In addition to Hutchinson, the benefit concert will feature work by Lauren Adams, Wes Veldink, Sidra Bell, Tracie Stanfield of SynthesisDANCE, Kirsten Russell, Marinda Davis of marInspired ; the storytellers, Calen J. Kurka of Pushing Progress Contemporary Dance, Kristin Sudeikis Dance, The Next Stage Project, Breton Tyner-Bryan, Hannah Jane Frederick, Rachel M. Hettinger of metaphors & similes DANCE, KC Castellano, Teddy Tedholm of tedted Performance Group, Mike Esperanza and Emily Bufferd of BEings.

 

“We’re using our creativity, abundance and giving spirit of the fall season to help where we can,” said Hutchinson. “[We have] a lineup of beautiful dancers and big hearts… You don’t want to miss it!”
