TITAS Presents announces 2017-18 Season

TITAS Presents, led by Executive Director/Artistic Director Charles Santos, is North Texas’ foremost presenter of high culture performance art. TITAS Presents has been presenting dance and music in Dallas for 34 years. Now it has revealed that it will officially launch its 2017-18 Season on August 31.

The 2017-18 Season’s diverse array of artists and companies include MOMIX, Ballet Hispánico, Isreal’s Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Cuba’s Malpaso Dance Company, France’s Compagnie Hervé Koubi, Lucky Plush Productions, L.A. Dance Project, Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Parsons Dance. In addition, TITAS Presents will bring its annual Command Performance event back.

The three words being used to describe the collage and energy that is the upcoming 2017-18 TITAS Presents Season are “inspired, innovative and intriguing.” The season’s nine internationally acclaimed dance companies will deliver an unprecedented array of mixed media and blended art forms.

First up, MOMIX will perform Moses Pendleton’s Opus Cactus at Winspear Opera House on Thursday, August 31 at 8 p.m. This company, which is renowned for its talented dancer-illusionists, will explore the mysterious creatures and cacti of the desert in this special performance experience.
