Vitacca P&C to offer Fusion Dance Intensive

Vitacca Productions & CompanyVitacca Productions & Company, a dance development organization that provides advanced dance coaching, outreach programs and professional performances, announces the 2014 Fusion Dance Intensive (FDI) taking place in Houston, TX from June 9-14. 

 

Fusion Dance Intensive is a weeklong summer intensive program for all advanced dancers that unifies superior classical and contemporary training. Renowned faculty from across the U.S. come to Houston to offer students a powerful dance experience.

 

Advanced classes include: ballet, pointe, variations, contemporary, modern, commercial jazz, dance industry education and repertory sessions. FDI will be in residence at Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, located in the Montrose section of Houston. The intensive will run Monday-Saturday, June 9-14 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

 

Fusion Dance Intensive faculty includes: former Houston Ballet Principal Barbara Bears, who will teach pointe and variations; former Movin’ Out cast member and Parsons Dance Company member Eric Bourne, who will teach contemporary; Vitacca P&C Founder/Artistic Director Kelly Ann Vitacca, who will teach contemporary jazz; and in-demand choreographer and performer Sidra Bell, who will teach contemporary repertoire.

 

Additional ballet faculty members include Phillip Broomhead, Vitacca P&C’s artistic advisor/ballet master, and Steven Burley, a master ballet coach.
