Dance movie starring Fik-ShunShout! Studios, the entertainment distribution and production arm of Shout! Factory, has acquired extensive North American rights to ALL STYLES, an inspiring dance drama directed by Angela Tucker. The movie features choreography by Christopher Scott (Step Up movies) and Emilio Dosal (Step Up All InMaking Moves). Shout! Studios plans a strategic rollout of ALL STYLES across multiple entertainment platforms later this year.

Terminus concludes its inaugural season

Rachel Van Buskirk and Heath GillTerminus Modern Ballet Theatre, Atlanta’s newest contemporary ballet company, will conclude its inaugural season with its return to Serenbe with The Vertical. Created by choreographer Tara Lee, under the directorship of John Welker, the world premiere opens Friday, May 25 and runs through Sunday, June 3. The Vertical will premiere at Deer Hollow in Serenbe.

Minnesota program seeking choreographers

Photo by Dan NormanMomentum: New Dance Works, a widely respected platform for commissioning and presenting original contemporary dance of all genres, is currently seeking applications for the 2018-19 program. Four emerging/early career choreographers based in Minnesota will be selected to participate in a 14-month process that culminates in a two-week performance festival in July 2019. The deadline to apply is June 11.
