Complexions presents tribute to David Bowie

Complexions rehearsing David Bowie-inspired workThis Saturday, June 18, Complexions Contemporary Ballet will present the world premiere of a new work choreographed by Co-Artistic Director Dwight Rhoden for the iconic singer-songwriter David Bowie, who passed away January 10.

 

The company of multiethnic dancers, currently based in New York but soon moving to Atlanta, will present the work at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts in Detroit as part of a double bill that will also present STRUM, a work for 14 dancers set to the music of the metal band Metallica.

 

Complexions has received numerous awards over its 21-year journey, including The New York Times’ Critics Choice Award. It has appeared throughout the U.S. and around the world.
