Dance/USA presents APAP Dance Forum

Dance/USA is presenting a Dance Forum as a pre-conference event to APAP in New York City this January 6. This event is free to the public.

The conversation will explore the state of residencies in the U.S. and new initiatives to increase residencies and dance. Caitlin Strokosch, executive director of the Alliance of Artist Residencies, will kickoff the discussion with their recent research report, Mind the Gap: Artist Residencies and Dance. Additionally, Dance/USA will share information about new initiatives for 2012, and the Dance/USA Agents Council will give an overview of the new program FocUS Dance.

APAP is the Association of Performing Arts Presenters.  The APAP conference brings together over 3,500 arts presenters, agencies, and managers who attend showings around the city, in search of artists to bring to their venues.
