Happy International Tap Dance Day!

Today is International Tap Dance Day so get your tap shoes on and make some noise! May 25 was chosen for the date as it is the birthday of Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, the Grandfather of Tap. America’s National Tap Dance Day is a celebration of tap dance as an American and worldwide art form. The idea of National Tap Dance Day was first presented to the  U.S. Congress on September 15, 1988 and was signed into American law by President George H.W. Bush on November 7, 1989. Since then tap dancers have taken the celebration to an international level!
