Join Ballet Arizona for Ballet Under the Stars

Join Ballet Arizona this fall as they kick off the 2022-2023 season with free events & dance performances for the whole family in Phoenix and across the Valley. During their Ballet Under the Stars performances, you’ll have a chance to see several exciting contemporary and classical ballet excerpts!

Free and open to the public, Ballet Under the Stars allows Arizona communities to enjoy dance in a unique outdoor setting complete with a stage, lighting, costumes, and beautiful Arizona weather.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a varied program, ranging from classical to contemporary. You won’t want to miss this perfect show for the entire family – it is a great way to introduce ballet to your children for the first time!

All performances begin at 7 pm and are free to attend. Performances will take place September 8 at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills; September 9 at Sahuaro Ranch Historic Park in Glendale; September 10 at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix; and September 11 at Estrella Lakeside Amphitheater in Goodyear.

Ballet Arizona suggests you bring a picnic meal as food options may be limited at certain venues. Additionally, they strongly suggest ridesharing, booking Uber, etc. as parking can be tricky and these events draw large crowds!

Finally, Ballet Arizona wants you to come as you are – ballet is for everyone! Many people are nervous to come and see a ballet for the first time. The most important thing to remember is that there is no right or wrong way to experience their performances. Ballet, like all art, seeks to present life as it was, as it is, and as it could be.  Your opinion of the meaning and impact of the work is just as valid as anyone else’s. So, come as you are!  Bring all your experiences, thoughts, ideas, and feelings, and think of it as an adventure under the stars.
