New England Ballet Theatre Presents: Director’s Choice

New England Ballet Theatre (NEBT) presents: Director’s Choice on Sunday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m at The Ailey® Studios at 405 West 55th Street New York, NY 10019.
Director’s Choice is NEBT’s first production performed outside of Connecticut. The show consists of three feature-length original works by emerging female choreographers. Choreographer Saki Morimoto created the neoclassical ballet Focus Point for NEBT in March 2022 and became an instant crowd favorite. Sarah Grace’s contemporary dance piece “In Her Image” was inspired by the works of Antoinette Brim-Bell, CT’s State Poet Laureate, about the stories of Lilith and Eve. NEBT Executive and Artistic Director Rachael Gnatowski will also be creating a new piece for this show.
Each choreographer has had the opportunity to work closely with NEBT’s costume designer Fiona Connolly to create cohesive works that truly elevate each ballet. NEBT Company Artists and Demi-Apprentices will perform these varied dance pieces.
Executive and Artistic Director Rachael Gnatowski says, “this performance showcases the company’s artistic range in order to show the New York audience who we are as a young up-and-coming company.”
