Peridance Presents Performance Project with Brian Friedman

Get the chance to work up close and personal with Legendary Choreographer Brian Friedman in this once in a lifetime 4-Day Training and Performance Program! The project will take place from August 18-21 at the Peridance Center.

Brian Friedman can be described as a pioneer entrepreneur, having opened his first dance studio at the age of 16. He got his first big break when he starred in the 1992 film Newsies. Soon thereafter, he was one of the breakout stars on the hit show Kids Incorporated, alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt and the late Brittany Murphy. He has since worked on Dancing with The StarsSo You Think You Can Dance, OprahMTV VMA’sAmerican Music Awards, and the Billboard Music Awards, to name a few.

Brian’s film credits include Charlie’s Angels: Full ThrottleYou Got ServedShe’s All ThatAustin Powers Gold Member, and Uptown Girls. He has been associated with top music artists such as Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ciara, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Prince, Mariah Carey, Usher, and more. He was chosen to work with Simon Cowell on several of his highest-ranking projects, including judging, choreographing, creative directing, and producing. These shows include The X Factor (US and UK), America’s Got Talent, and Britain’s Got Talent.

In addition to spending his time as a Producer, Director, Creative Director, and Choreographer, Brian enjoys giving back to the community. He has toured the world teaching and mentoring thousands of dancers by working on countless events including The Pulse on Tour, for which he was the Co-Creator and Creative Director, The Main Event which he is the Creator and Director of as well as Radix Dance Convention where he currently teaches.

Brian also created an interactive instructional dance DVD called Freestyle, teaching audiences around the world original choreography from his most renowned works. In an effort to reach students who cannot travel to him and him to them, he created an online mentorship program called The Talent Collective. The program helps guide the lives of future artists and entertainers, creating and developing original projects and catapulting careers in the entertainment industry.

During August’s performance project with Brian, you’ll enjoy Master Class Training in a fusion of styles including Hip Hop, Jazz Funk & Contemporary; Q&A industry discussion; headshot feedback; and a filmed performance at Peridance’s KnJ Theater.

The project will take place from 6-9:30 pm on August 18 & 19, 5-9:30 pm on August 20, and 9 am – 2:30 pm on August 21. Cost to attend is $400. Apply by July 20! Click here to learn more.
