Skate Dance Dream to launch intensive series

Skate Dance Dream Dance Intensive SeriesSkate Dance Dream is launching a new dance-only event, the Skate Dance Dream Dance Intensive Series, which will be unveiled for the very first time in the exciting 2016 season! The series kicks off with its inaugural Northeast Ohio Intensive, set for January 17, 2016 in Bedford, Ohio, at the Bedford Recreation Center.

With a focus on learning in a non-competitive environment, the Skate Dance Dream classes succeed in providing a fun, rewarding and encouraging experience that helps dancers reach new heights by growing their performance skill sets, expanding their repertoire of dance moves and increasing their dance vocabulary. Headlining the event will be DuShaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall (Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance Season 10 Winner), Jacque LeWarne (SYTYCD Season 11 Top 6 Finalist) and Sara VonGillern (SYTYCD Season 3 Top 8 Finalist.)

The Intensive offers aspiring dancers, ages 7 and up, the chance to take master classes in a variety of different dance styles, from hip-hop to ballet and breakdancing to contemporary. The faculty meet-and-greet session serves to provide hands-on insight into the different opportunities dance has to offer while giving dancers, parents and teachers guidance with their own respective dance paths.

What makes the Skate Dance Dream Dance Intensive stand out? This unique experience offers small class sizes, limited to a 40:1 student/faculty ratio, to ensure a personal experience. Unprecedented access to maximize the exposure to the faculty throughout the event day; a choreographed group number performed alongside the SYTYCD finalists; and the chance to receive private, 20-minute critique sessions from select faculty round out the Intensive activities. At the Northeast Ohio Dance Intensive, Fik-Shun and Jacque LeWarne will lead the critique sessions.
