Virtual Audition spots remain in Dancewave’s 13th annual Career and College Preparation Event

Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization, Dancewave, makes its triumphant return to in-person activations with its 13th Annual Dancewave Through College and Beyond (DTCB) event, celebrating key 2022 collaborations with The Rockettes and Bates Dance Festival.

A one-stop-shop for aspiring young artists, DTCB connects hundreds of high school students each year with 60 of the world’s top college dance programs, saving families thousands in travel and audition fees. The five-day event also provides access to informative and engaging workshops and panel discussions educating students and their families about the diverse and lucrative career opportunities in dance, the college admissions process, and financial aid.

To date, DTCB auditions have connected thousands of college-bound high schoolers with admission to top dance programs nationwide and an unrivaled 13.5M in college scholarships.

“DTCB made the college audition journey more simple than I could have asked for. Not only were there meetings scheduled with various colleges, you had the opportunity to network and contact representatives outside of those meetings should you not be able to attend!” – DTCB 2021 Student Participant

Designed to prepare high school students for what lies ahead in their educational and professional careers, DTCB provides unique insight into what to look for in a college dance program. Prospective students have the opportunity to speak directly with both esteemed dance professionals and college representatives from across the country to learn about the vast opportunities of dance in higher education and beyond.

“DTCB is the perfect way to kick off the audition season. We learned so much about many programs, and feel better equipped to find the right fit for my daughter.” – DTCB 2021 Parent Participant

The 2022 event, supported by The Rockettes and in partnership with Bates Dance Festival, will take place October 19 – 23. For more event details and registration information visit dtcb.dancewave.org.
