11th Fall for Dance Festival at NY City Center

11th Annual Fall for Dance FestivalNew York City Center will present its 11th Annual Fall for Dance Festival on October 8-19. The two-week festival will feature 20 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world in five unique programs. It will also offer many free pre-show events like dance lessons and panels with choreographers, artists and dance educators.


The festival will consist of five unique programs, with each program being repeated twice. It will include the festival debuts of Aakash Odedra Company, Brian Brooks Moving Company with Juilliard Dance, Company Sebastien Ramirez & Honji Wang, Lucinda Childs Dance Company, The Sarasota Ballet and Vuyani Dance Theatre.


World premieres will be presented by The Australian Ballet, Lil Buck, Pontus Lidberg Dance and Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble. U.S. premieres will be presented by Russell Maliphant/Sadler’s Wells London and Semperoper Ballett Dresden.


Plus, dance fans can see performances by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, BJM – Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, Black Grace, Rennie Harris Puremovement, San Francisco Ballet, Sara Mearns & Company, Trisha Brown Dance Company and Wayne McGregor | Random Dance.


The Fall for Dance Festival has received international acclaim for its quality, innovation and success in introducing new and younger audiences to the world of dance. Since its inception, the festival has presented 189 companies and introduced more than 250,000 newcomers and dance enthusiasts to an eclectic mix of choreographers and performers.
