7th Annual Pasadena Dance Festival
California–based Lineage Dance Company invites applications from the dance community for the 7th annual Pasadena Dance Festival, set for February 16-21, 2014 at the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena.
The festival is looking to present inspiring teachers, and the most artistic, original dance work in a wide variety of styles. Officials invite both emerging and established professional performers to apply.
The Pasadena Dance Festival, which highlights the dance community of Pasadena and connects teachers and performers from the greater Los Angeles area, is a multi-day event offering an array of dance classes and workshops for all ages from novice through advanced levels. With multiple performance opportunities and a professional showcase performance, the festival will present various styles of movement throughout the six-day period.
Festival classes will be led all day at Flintridge Preparatory School on February 22 with the Student Showcase Performance at 2 p.m. and the Evening Professional Concert at 8 p.m. All proceeds help fund the Lineage Performing Arts Center whose outreach programs and specialty classes include Dancing with Parkinsons’, Dancing Through Cancer and Dance for kids with Down Syndrome.
Dancers and dance companies can apply today to teach or perform at the festival. For more information, visit pasadenadancefestival.org. Applications close December 1.
