APAP 2014 at Peridance Capezio Center
This weekend, Peridance Capezio Center will present more than 20 dance companies in the Salvatore Capezio Theater for the 2014 Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP) Conference taking place in New York City.
Peridance Capezio Center’s fully-curated APAP Showcases are designed to feature artists and dance companies to the APAP conference attendees, providing an unparalleled opportunity for companies and choreographers to showcase their work within a professional platform, with direct contact to arts presenters, agents and producers from across the globe. Past participating artists have booked engagements at the Joyce Theater, Joyce SoHo, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Dance Salad, as well as teaching appointments and commissions with prestigious companies.
Program A will be presented this Saturday, January 11 at 8 p.m. and again on Sunday, January 12, at 1 p.m. Companies and artists include: Mystic Ballet, Manuel Vignoulle, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Jessica Gaynor Dance, Oliva Contemporary Dance Project, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, Helen Simoneau Danse, Kellie Hodges & Dancers, Milissa Payne Bradley, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Jessica Taylor | DAMAGEDANCE, and Charlotta Õfverholm | Compagnie Jus de la Vie.
Program B will be presented this Sunday, January 12 at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Companies and artists include: Complexions Contemporary Ballet, NatalieInMotion, Mystic Ballet, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, Vortice Dance Company, Patricia Kenny Dance Collection, Mark Foehringer Dance Project, Mettin Movement, Abarukas Contemporary Dance Company, Teddy Tedholm, Emery LeCrone Dance and TAKE Dance.
Each program will run approximately 80 minutes. General admission tickets are $15 and now available, but note that performances often sell out. The showcases are free for attendees/presenters with an APAP badge.
