Bree Hafen’s Positive Space: The Workshop
From her inspired teaching techniques to her intriguing use of music and movement, dancer and choreographer Bree Hafen has spent the last 15 years bringing breathtaking stories to life. Now, in the time leading up to her company’s performances at Ailey Citigroup Theatre in NYC in August, Hafen is teaching at Positive Space: The Workshop on July 26-29 in Allen, Texas.
Positive Space: The Workshop is inspired by Hafen’s choreographic work Positive Space, which will be presented in NYC on August 7 and 8. The workshop will also allow dancers to take classes from big industry names such as Chelsie Hightower, Sasha Farber, Billy Bell, Janelle Issis and Nicki Loud.
Presented by Dallas Repertoire Ballet, the workshop is intended for advanced and pre-professional dancers, however intermediate dancers are invited as well. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the Academy of Dance Arts in Allen, Texas.
The workshop is flexible, allowing dancers to register for the full four days, a single day or a single class. For more information on the workshop, visit breehafen.com/positivespace. For more information on the performances of Positive Space in NYC, visit www.danceteachersummit.com.
