EMERGE: A New Modern Contemporary Dance Show
Suzzanne Ponomarenko Dance presents EMERGE. EMERGE is a one-hour modern contemporary dance experience filled with fresh and fun pieces that will warm your heart and move your body with irresistible catchy beats and gorgeously executed dancing. Featuring our latest work, “Enjoy Yourself!”
“Enjoy Yourself!” is a piece created in reaction to the hardships of the past few years of life: Covid-19, losing loved ones to cancer, and the horrors of the war in Ukraine. It is how Suzzanne got to the other side of grief and the lessons learned along the way; a homage to all people who have ever suffered.
“Suzzanne Ponomarenko’s choreography was clever, with no extraneous moves – everything was distilled to the essential gesture and physical expression, which was deeply satisfying to see.” -NY Theater Guide
