Forza Dance’s BLOOM: Emerging Artist Festival Highlights 25 Choreographers in Two Nights of New Dance

Forza Dance is proud to present the third annual BLOOM: Emerging Artist Festival, a two-day celebration of new choreography and creative voices in New York’s contemporary dance community. Taking place April 3–4 at Teatro Latea in the Lower East Side, the festival features two performances showcasing live works by 25 emerging choreographers (7:00pm on April 3rd and 4th).

BLOOM highlights the next generation of choreographers while fostering a space where experimentation, collaboration, and artistic risk-taking can thrive. Across two evenings, audiences will experience a diverse range of perspectives, styles, and movement languages from artists working across New York’s vibrant dance landscape. Forza Dance will also present a special collaborative performance with Dance of Persia and its director Leila Montazemi, highlighting a shared commitment to unity and a message of hope and peace.

In addition to the performances, BLOOM offers events open to all, including movement workshops led by festival choreographers. Workshops are held at 10:00am and 11:30am and include Popping, Improvisation, and Contemporary Floorwork. The festival also hosts Community Connect from 1:00pm-2:00pm, a free space for artists to network, discuss industry challenges, and explore ways to support one another’s growth.

Friday night’s show features work by Caroline Clarke & Jacque Forman, Chey Casner, Claudio Caverni, Dahyun Kim, Gable Couch, Hailey Cindric, Holly Borrelli, Jamod Parham, Natalie Aronno, and Sabina Fritz.

Saturday night’s show features work by Caroline Voultepsis, Garet Wierdsma, Julia Lawton, Lil Aronoff, Lily Santana & Jazlyn Tan, Madaline Maravillas & Bayley Banks, Megan McHugh & Fiona Thomas, Sofía Forero & Nicolas Fiery, TJ Warren, and Tori Vincent.

BLOOM reflects Forza Dance’s commitment to supporting emerging artists and cultivating spaces where creativity, connection, and artistic growth can flourish. Audiences are invited to support these artists by attending Festival Performances, Movement Workshops, and Community Connect sessions.
