IMG Artists Signs American Ballet Theatre for Global Touring Beginning 2026/27 Season

IMG Artists is proud to announce the signing of American Ballet Theatre (ABT) and ABT Studio Company for worldwide representation — encompassing both domestic and international touring — beginning with the 2026/27 season.

Recognized as America’s National Ballet Company®, ABT has been a cornerstone of cultural diplomacy and artistic excellence for more than eight decades, with a repertoire that spans the great classics of the 19th century to acclaimed contemporary works.

Through this partnership, IMG Artists will represent ABT and ABT Studio Company in developing, managing, and producing touring engagements across the United States and around the globe, ensuring the Company’s extraordinary artistry continues to reach audiences everywhere.

Matthew Bledsoe, Executive Vice President of IMG Artists, said: “We are honored to represent American Ballet Theatre, a company that stands as both a cultural ambassador for the United States and a beacon of artistic excellence worldwide. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to ensuring ABT’s performances are experienced by audiences across America and internationally. We are excited to support Artistic Director Susan Jaffe, Executive Director Barry Hughson, and the broader ABT team to expand and enhance the Company’s touring presence.”

Barry Hughson, Executive Director of American Ballet Theatre, commented: “Touring has always been central to ABT’s mission — from our earliest years bringing ballet to audiences across the United States to our historic role as a cultural representative abroad. Partnering with IMG Artists allows us to strengthen our domestic touring footprint while extending our international reach. Together, we look forward to building the next chapter in ABT’s rich legacy of sharing the power of ballet with communities around the world.”

Revered as a national treasure since its founding season in 1940, ABT’s mission is to create, present, preserve, and extend the great repertoire of classical dancing for the widest possible audience. Headquartered in New York City, ABT is the only cultural institution of its size and stature to extensively tour, enchanting audiences for eight decades in 50 U.S. states, 45 countries, and over 480 cities worldwide. ABT’s repertoire includes full-length classics from the nineteenth century, the finest works from the early twentieth century, and acclaimed contemporary masterpieces. In 2006, by an act of Congress, ABT was designated America’s National Ballet Company®.
