Dance on Camera presents Fall to Rise dance filmNow in its 43rd year, the prestigious Dance on Camera Film Festival is set to return to New York on January 30–February 3. Presented by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Dance on Camera will once again honor ballet and contemporary dance personalities through documentaries and narrative films. For this festival, Dance on Camera moves beyond familiar expectations too, presenting a cheerleading documentary as well as a girls’ hand-clapping film for the first time.

Costume Gallery names scholarship recipients

Costume Gallery's Beverly Miller Scholarship FundThe founders of Costume Gallery, Beverly Miller and her husband Norman, served the dance community for more than half a century. In their memory and as a dedication to young dancers in the community, Costume Gallery established the Beverly Miller Scholarship Fund to help young people pursue their dance education. Every year, a total of $10,000 in scholarships is awarded to dancers based on their application submissions – 18 $500 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship. Recently, at the end of 2014, this year’s scholarship recipients were announced.
