Peridance's 2014 NY Spring Season

Peridance Contemporary Dance CompanyThis month, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company will present three new creations at its annual New York Spring Season – one by Artistic Director Igal Perry, another by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago alumna Robyn Mineko Williams, and a third by Netherlands Dance Theater alumnus Bryan Arias. In addition, Peridance will perform Manuel de Falla's flamenco masterpiece El Amor Brujo as part of the NY Flamenco Festival. Performances are the weekends of March 15-16 and 22-23 at the Salvatore Capezio Theater at Peridance.

Ailey II's Gentry Isaiah George and Tyler Brown in Robert Battle's WeAiley II, the youthful and gifted second company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, returns to its home, the Ailey Citigroup Theater, from April 2-13 for a highly anticipated 40th anniversary season – the second led by Artistic Director Troy Powell. For two weeks, audiences will experience 14 performances featuring two dynamic programs, which come on the heels of a successful North American tour to over 30 cities and an array of critically acclaimed performances in Germany and France.

Oregon Ballet Theatre’s 25th Anniversary SeasonOregon Ballet Theatre recently announced its 25th anniversary season, which will officially start in October and run through April 2015. It will present four programs that honor where the company’s been while also looking ahead to where it can go. Highlights include world premieres by Nicolo Fonte and Darrell Grand-Moultrie, the company’s first full-length Cinderella, a trilogy of duets by numerous influential choreographers, and the launch of OBT II in the spring.
