2014 Prix de Lausanne The 2014 Prix de Lausanne kicked off on Monday and runs through Saturday, February 1, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The 42nd international ballet competition is hosting 71 selected young dancers from around the world after a total of 295 candidates originally applied. The semi-finals of the competition will be on Friday and the finals will be on Saturday. Of the 20 top candidates participating in the finals, only six will be awarded a one-year scholarship with one of the prestigious Prix de Lausanne partner schools or companies.

Lead dancer chosen for 'Flesh and Bone'

Sarah Hay to star in Flesh and BoneEntertainment company STARZ announced today that acclaimed dancer Sarah Hay will play the lead role of Claire in the new dance drama series Flesh and Bone. Producers auditioned hundreds of dancers in the search for the perfect Claire – a process lead by dance casting specialists Telsey + Company. Production is scheduled to begin in New York City in early 2014. The series is expected to debut on STARZ in 2015.
