Benjamin Millepied, renowned for his career as a former principal at New York City Ballet, was announced as the new director of dance for the Paris Opera Ballet on Thursday, January 24 at the Palais Garnier. He will start his new designation in the fall of 2014.

The Irondale Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn recently announced the performance schedule for FLICfest’s third season on January 24–26 and January 31–February 2. Founded and curated by Jeramy Zimmerman, FLICfest 2013 will present 12 full-length works by 14 choreographers as well as a late-night cabaret.

New York City Ballet’s 2013 winter repertory performances will begin today, Tuesday, January 15, by kicking off an All-Tschaikovsky/All-Balanchine program consisting of Serenade, Mozartiana and Tschaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2.
