Chicago-based Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre will present its 15th Anniversary Fall Concert Series at Ruth Page Center for the Arts Theater on September 14-15. In addition to celebrating 15 years of dancing, artistic excellence and community engagement, the concert series also marks the retirement of longtime company member Kate Dempsey.

The San Francisco Dance Film Festival will kick off next Thursday, September 12 with a collection of international screendance shorts being shown at The Roxie Theater. General Mischief Dance Theatre, based out of the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, will premiere Three If By Air on September 21-22. Three if by Air is a brand new production featuring aerial adventures, mind-bending yogis and the world premiere of Suite Shel, a trio of dances inspired by the poems of Shel Silverstein.

The feature-length documentary Strength and Beauty will be premiering in London, England at the Portobello Film Festival on September 3. The film examines the lives of three ballerinas working at North Carolina Dance Theatre in Charlotte, NC. In its first large-scale entertainment sponsorship, Bloch recently announced that it is a participating sponsor in the 2013 Live Tour of the hit Fox TV series So You Think You Can Dance. Bloch will provide apparel and shoes for the Top 10 tour dancers from Season 10 while they are performing live across the US. The tour begins October 1, hitting 42 cities through November 27.
