Elisabeth Schiffbauer was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. She received her primary training from the Maryland Youth Ballet, and Princeton Dance and Theatre Studio under the direction of Susan Jaffe and Risa Kaplowitz. She has attended summer programs at The Washington Ballet, Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Elisabeth is a graduate of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet/ Dominican University of California BFA Program. She graduated magna cum laude and with Departmental Honors. As a student, Elisabeth participated in the LINES Ballet Professional Workshop and performed with the company in their 2008 home season re-staging of String Quartet. She has worked with and performed pieces by Dwight Rhoden, Jessica Lang, Christian Burns, Yannis Adoniou, Maurya Kerr, Arturo Fernandez, and Alonzo King. She will be setting a new work this spring on the LINES Ballet BFA Program. Elisabeth is currently a freelance artist.
