Teach Ballet, Modern, Argentinean Tango. Dancer, choreographer and teacher with 20 years experience working in Argentina, Chile, Italy and the USA. Artistic Director of Anabella Lenzu / DanceDrama. Lenzu completed her classical Ballet dance training at the renown Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her Modern Dance formation can be traced back to her studies of the Humphrey/Limòn and Graham techniques, as well as the repertory of Anna Sokolow. She studied choreography at the Juilliard School, with Mary Anthony, Jim May and many others. Her studies also include Tango and the Folkdances and traditional dances of Argentina, Spain and Italy. In 1994, she founded and directed L’Atelier Centro Creativo de Danza, her own dance school in Argentina (directed by her sister Pamela since 2001). Since arriving in New York in 2005, Lenzu conducts classes at Dance New Amsterdam, New Dance Group, Peridance, Mark Morris Dance Center & Sarah Lawrence College, while also giving lectures, master-classes and residencies at Universities throughout the US and abroad. Lenzu is also a published author for various dance and arts magazines.
