Open company position – audition for NW Dance Project

NW Dance Project is seeking a male dancer to fill an open company position for the 2023/24 season. The contract starts August 14, 2023. This is an employee paid position with a competitive contract. You will enjoy National & International Touring, along with a 401k Retirement plan with employer contribution.

NW Dance Project is dedicated to the creation and performance of innovative, new contemporary dance works from established and emerging dance makers created in an open and artistically stimulating environment. They seek experienced soloist dancers interested in a diverse collaborative environment that focuses on the innovation and creation of contemporary dance. Artists should have a strong classical and contemporary background, professional performance experience, and passion for the creative process.

Dancers should have a minimum of 3 years of professional company experience and must be available to start August, 14. Preference will be given to mid-career professional dancers.

BIPOC dancers are encouraged to apply and dancers must be legally eligible to work in the USA to be considered.

Dancers will be selected through a pre-application process. Each application will be reviewed on a rolling basis and must be received no later than June 26, 2023.

Dancers will be invited for in-person audition in Portland between July 28 to August 10, 2023.
