STREB announces company auditions

STREB EXTREME ACTION will hold auditions January 24-January 26, 2023 for their Spring Season with contracts starting immediately. Often called the Evel Knievel of dance, founding Artistic Director Elizabeth Streb and her STREB Extreme Action Company have been thrilling and terrifying audiences around the world.

Back from the pandemic and fresh off a season that included a West Coast tour to Seattle, a trip to Pittsburgh and home performances at their Williamsburg lab, the company will be holding an open call audition for new Action Heroes to join the team for the Spring Season, starting immediately.

The company is calling all dancers, acrobats, athletes, gymnasts, martial artists and movers with an appetite for extreme action and a comfort with physical heights, impact, falls and acrobatic activity for an open call audition from Tue, January 24 -Thursday, January 26 from 12-3 pm at the STREB Lab for Action Mechanics in Brooklyn.

Auditioners must be comfortable with physical heights, impact, falls, and extreme acrobatic activity. Strong modern/ballet technique is encouraged. Tumbling/trampoline/diving experience is a plus. Clothes that are easy to move in and shoes with flexible soles and ankle support will be needed to participate. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination is required for the audition and employment.
