‘Destiny Rising’ at The Joyce this Monday

NYC Dance Alliance FoundationThis Monday, February 16, the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation will celebrate awarding over $12 million in college scholarships with a fundraising performance at The Joyce Theater in NYC.

 

This special event will present an evening of dance artistry featuring outstanding NYCDA alumni, the choreography of NYCDA faculty and special guest performances from prominent professional dance companies, including Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet and Keigwin + Co.

 

Attendees will also enjoy familiar faces like Andy Pellick and Peter Chu (artistic director of chuthis.). Intermezzo Dance Company will present choreography by American Ballet Theatre Soloist Craig Salstein. Plus, there will be performances by PPA Commercial Dance Company, Chapman University Dance Ensemble and Plumb Performing Arts Center.

 

All ticket proceeds will benefit the NYCDAF College Scholarship Program. The event reinforces NYCDA’s mission of investing in the next generation of professional dancers.

 

In a special conclusion to the evening, more than $50,000 in additional scholarships will be announced.
