2015 Tony Award Nominations Announced

Leanne Cope and Robert FairchildThe nominees were announced for the 2015 Tony Awards today! The Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 7 on CBS.

 

By show, An American in Paris and Fun Home were the top recipients, with each receiving 12 nominations. The dance-heavy musical On the Town received only four nominations.

 

Nominees for the Best Choreography Award include: Joshua Bergasse for On the Town; Christopher Gattelli for The King and I; Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett for Frantic Assembly for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time; Casey Nicholaw for Something Rotten!; and Christopher Wheeldon for An American in Paris.

 

Tommy Tune was announced as the recipient the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre. The Regional Theatre Award was appointed to Cleveland Play House in Cleveland, Ohio. Then Scenic Artist Arnold Abramson, Press Agent Adrian Bryan-Brown and Technical Director Gene O’Donovan received Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre.
